
Ingredients
- 2 Plantain/ Raw Banana
- 1 Big Onion (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
- 2 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 Green chilli (slit)
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1 Dry Red Chilli
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp Oil (Coconut oil/ Vegetable oil)
Method
- Peel the skin of the raw banana. Wash it and chop it into small chunks.
- Place the chopped bananas in bowl of cold water to prevent it from changing colour.
- Heat Oil in a pan, pop mustard seeds.
- Add the chopped onion , garlic, dry chilly and curry leaves. Sauté for a few minutes.
- Now add in chopped raw banana and stir well.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and salt as required, sauté and fry well.
- Sprinkle some water, cover the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from flame and serve this delicious Raw Banana Stir Fry with rice or chappati.
