Stuffed Bread Rolls

Ingredients

  • 5 Bread slices
  • 1 Small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 Medium sized potatoes (boiled & peeled)
  • 1/4 cup Green Peas
  • 1 inch Ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika/ Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp  Vegetable oil + oil for deep frying

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large pan, add in finely chopped ginger and garlic, and saute for 30 seconds. Now add in the onions and saute till it turns translucent, followed by peas. Saute for another 2 minutes.
  2. Mix in turmeric, paprika, garam masala, dry mango powder and salt.
  3. Mash the boiled potatoes lightly and add it into the mixture. Stir well till the spices are well combined with the mashed potatoes.
  4. Mix in coriander leaves to the mixture and keep it aside.
  5. Cut the sides of the bread slices. Take a bread slice and dip it in water for a second and squeeze of the excess water gently.
  6. Take a spoon full of the prepared stuffing and place it on the slice. Wrap the bread making sure there are no open edges. Prepare the remaining the slices the same way.
  7. Deep fry the prepared rolls in hot oil on medium flame. Turn the rolls occasionally until they turn golden brown. Serve hot with ketchup.
