Pepper Chicken


  • 750g Chicken
  • 2 Onions (chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (chopped)
  • 1 Green chillies
  • 1 spring Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken and brown in oil, remove and keep it aside.
  • Add fennel seeds and cumin seeds to the pan and let it crackle.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté them until golden. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • Add turmeric, red chilly powder, pepper powder and garam masala. Stir for a minute making sure there is enough oil, so that nothing sticks to the pan.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes and sauté until it is soft.
  • Add chicken pieces and salt. Cover and simmer until the chicken is tender.
  • Sprinkle freshly ground pepper powder.
  • Remove from flame. Add lemon juice and mix well. Delicious Pepper chicken is ready! 🙂
