Liver Curry Liver Curry December 2, 2018 Servings: 5 : 10 min Prep : 35 min Cook : 45 min Total Difficulty: Medium Ingredients Ox Liver Onions (thinly sliced) 1 inch Ginger (minced) 4 Garlic cloves (minced) 4 Green chillies (slit) 1 sprig Curry leaves 1 tsp Turmeric powder + 1/2 tsp 2 tbsp Coriander powder 1 tsp Garam masala 1/2 tsp Black pepper Salt to taste 2 cups Thin coconut milk 1/2 cup Thick coconut milk 2 tbsp Vinegar 1 cup Water Oil Directions Step 1 Pressure cook the liver along with a cup of water and turmeric powder for 20-25 minutes on low heat. Step 2 Once the liver is cooked, cut them into 2 inch strips. Keep aside the leftover broth. Step 3 Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add ginger and garlic and saute for a minute. Add sliced onions, green chillies and curry leaves, saute till the onions turn translucent. Step 4 Stir in spice powders and a tablespoon of water, saute for a minute till a nice aroma is released. Step 5 Add in cooked liver, leftover broth, vinegar and thin coconut milk. Season with salt, mix well and let it cook for 10 minutes. Step 6 Open the lid and pour in half a cup of thick coconut milk. Mix well and turn of the heat. Serve hot with rice, appam or bread.
