This smoothie is a great way to get some nutritious figs into your diet, and change up your smoothie routine with something a bit out of the box. And since dried figs are available year round, you can stock up on them and reap the many benefits of this luscious fruit.
Fig and Banana Smoothie
- 3 Dried Figs
- 1 Ripe Banana
- 2 tbsp Yogurt
- 1 cup Chilled Milk (use milk of your choice)
- 1 tsp Honey (optional)
- Step 1 If you have the time, soak the figs in water for half an hour before making the smoothie.
- Step 2 Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust almond milk to desired consistency.
- Step 3 Top with a cashew nut and enjoy your delicious glass of creamy goodness!:)
