Chilli Mushroom


  • 200g Button Mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp Plain flour
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp Maggie chicken cube
  • Water (as needed)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Oil for deep frying

For the sauce

  • 1 Onion (cubed)
  • 2 Spring Onion (chopped)
  • 6 Green beans (chopped)
  • 2 Green chillies ( slit)
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/8 tsp maggie chicken cube
  • Pich of salt
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 3 tbsp Oil



  • Heat oil in a pan. Start by making the batter my mixing plain flour, corn flour, pepper, maggie chicken cube, salt and water to form a thick paste.
  • Add in chopped mushroom and mix well. Drop in hot oil and fry till golden brown. Drain and set aside.
  • In another pan, heat oil and add in onions, green beans and green chillies. Sauté them for a couple of minutes.
  • Now add in soya sauce, red chilli sauce, maggie chicken cube, pepper, salt and sugar; mix well. Add some water if you think it’s a bit dry.
  • Now add in the fried mushroom pieces and mix well so the sauce coats all mushroom pieces.
  • Add in spring onion and serve immediately.
