Chilli Beef

Ingredients
- 700g Beef
- 2 Onions (cubed)
- 1 Bell pepper (cubed)
- 1 inch Ginger (minced)
- 6 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)
- 2 Green chillies
- 1 tbsp Spring onions (chopped)
- 2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
- 3/4 tsp Pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Light soya sauce
- 1 tbsp Dark soya sauce
- 1 tbsp Red chilli sauce
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp Cornflour
- 3/4 cup Beef stock
Directions
- Step 1 Slice the beef into thin strips, add them into the pressure cooker along with a tablespoon of soy sauce and salt. After the first whistle, lower the flame and pressure cook for 15 minutes.
- Step 2 Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil and add in the ginger, garlic, green chillies and onions. Stir fry them for 2 minutes.
- Step 3 Now add in the chopped bell peppers, salt and pepper and stir fry for 2 minutes. Transfer this to a plate and keep it aside.
- Step 4 Add in 1 tbsp of oil and then add in the cooked beef. Keep aside the beef stock for later.
- Step 5 Stir fry the beef for a couple of minutes and then add in the kashmiri chilli powder. Lower the flame and mix it in well until the raw flavour has gone.
- Step 6 Add in ketchup, light soy sauce, dark soya sauce, vinegar, red chilli sauce and stir fry. Mix in the stir fried onions and bell peppers that was kept aside.
- Step 7 Make a cornflour slurry using the beef stock. Increase the heat, pour in the slurry and stir well. Simmer for a couple of minutes and garnish with spring onions. Serve this delicious Chilli Beef with parotta, chappati or rice!
